YOU WILL NEED
BEEF4 tbsp Vegetable oil
30g Shichimi Tōgarashi
500g Beef
TATAKI MARINADE
30g Shichimi Tōgarashi
1 tsp Ginger minced
.5tsp Garlic minced
.25 tsp Chilli minced
1 cups Light soy sauce
.5 tsp Sesame oil
1 small Spring onion chopped
1 tsp Cornflour
TO MAKE
- Cut the beef into 4 cm strips, half cm thick. Do not cut the beef too small as the meat can break into smaller pieces during cooking.
- Combine the Tataki Marinade ingredients and set aside.
- Add the sliced beef to teh marinade and allow to sit for 20 minutes
- Heat up the vegetable oil in heavy based pan
- Add the beef and cook over high eat heat, for 5 minutes
- Remove the beef from the pan.
- Add the marinade and bring to a boil reduce slightly and add cornflour to thicken. Spread beef between bowls and por over sauce, sprinkle with remaining Tōgarashi.
