Togarashi Beef Harami

YOU WILL NEED

BEEF
4 tbsp Vegetable oil
30g Shichimi Tōgarashi
500g Beef
TATAKI MARINADE
30g Shichimi Tōgarashi
1 tsp Ginger minced
.5tsp Garlic minced
.25 tsp Chilli minced
1 cups Light soy sauce
.5 tsp Sesame oil 
1 small Spring onion chopped 
1 tsp Cornflour

 

TO MAKE

  1. Cut the beef into 4 cm strips, half cm thick. Do not cut the beef too small as the meat can break into smaller pieces during cooking.
  2. Combine the Tataki Marinade ingredients and set aside.
  3. Add the sliced beef to teh marinade and allow to sit for 20 minutes
  4. Heat up the vegetable oil in heavy based pan 
  5. Add the beef and cook over high eat heat, for 5 minutes
  6. Remove the beef from the pan.
  7. Add the marinade and bring to a boil reduce slightly and add cornflour to thicken. Spread beef between bowls and por over sauce, sprinkle with remaining Tōgarashi.
  8. Served with rice
