Nigerian Suya Kebabs

Total Time: 30 mins Difficulty: Med  Serves: 4

YOU WILL NEED

2 tbsp Olive oil

500g Beef Steak.

100g Berbere

100mm Skewers

1 Roasted Capsicum & Rice to serve

TO MAKE

  1. Trim any excess fat and silvertrim from the beef. NB. you can ask your butcher to do this for you.
  2. Cut the beef into 5cm cubes add to a bowl with oil and rub the beef cheeks liberally, coat with berbere and allow to sit for a minimum of 30 minutes but best for 2 hours.
  3. Soak the skewers in water for approximate 1 hour before adding the meat.
  4. Thread the meat onto the skewers.
  5. Cook on a preheated grill, flipping once, until meat is browned 10 to 15 minutes.
