YOU WILL NEED
Oil for Frying
2 Blocks of Halloumi, Cut into Fat Chips
1 Tbsp Ras El Hanout
2 Tbsp Plain Flour (or Alternative)
100ml Greek Yoghurt
2 tbsp pomegranate molasses
100g Pomegranate Seeds
Handful chopped Mint
OPTIONAL:
Za'atar seasoning
TO MAKE
1. Cut the Halloumi into into 16 thick fries.
2. Whisk together flour and Ras El Hanout, roll halloumi evenly to coat.
3.In a deep sided skillet or fry pan heat 1 inch of oil over a medium high heat. *NB Test oil by dipping one end of halloumi in if it sizzles then your good to fry.
4. Carefully place coated halloumi into oil and fry in oil for approximately 4 minutes or until golden, turning as needed.
5. Remove from oil and drain on paper towel & season with salt.
6. Arrange the fries on a platter, drizzle over the yogurt and pomegranate molasses then sprinkle with pomegranate seeds and mint. Eat immediately.
